Hello everyone! My name is Makenna and I am beyond thrilled to be your volunteer chair this year! Volunteering is very important because you are making a difference in your community and gaining beneficial life experiences. Volunteering is also a great way to demonstrate your well-roundedness and passions, which ultimately strengthens your professional applications! I have fun events planned that will serve a variety of local communities, and I cannot wait to meet and volunteer with you all! Description: Brighten an elderly individual’s day by engaging in a virtual conversation with 2-3 other volunteers! The volunteer expectations are that you participate in a 1 hour chat every week for 16 weeks with the same group via zoom. In order to receive the 2 points, you must send a screenshot of an email in correspondence with the coordinator stating that you are a registered volunteer and are attending the weekly meetings!
